Licking the pot clean

Every morning, on the advice of the vet, Bertie has a spoonful of natural live yoghurt to aid his digestion. He loves it and always comes running when he hears me opening the fridge door. Today I had scraped out the empty carton then gave it to Bertie to lick clean. He does a good job if left to his own devices but it’s easier for him if one of us holds the pot for him to get to the final licks in the bottom.
Our young friend A came to do a few hours of gardening. Once he has made an arrangement, he comes along whatever the weather and today began rather wet so I asked him to clear out the polytunnel to make it ready for planting. As always, he did an excellent job.
We watched the last two episodes of “The Stranger” on Netflix. What a great mini series, so full of twists and turns that kept us guessing right to the end.
