A week in the country - Day 5
A wet day in Cambridge today, but there is always plenty to do there. This is a display in the Fitzwilliam Museum, part of an exhibition of items from their collection chosen by local people. The vase, by Barry Cullen and Peter Dreiser, is called The Price of Oil, and shows fish struggling to breathe under an oil slick. I thought the other one, called Net, and made by Annie Turner, shows amazingly skilful use of clay. There were lots of old ceramics too, of course, but I prefer these.
