Serenity.
I went up Arthurs Seat with Bailey after work for a change. We've not been up there for months and since we were last there everything seems to be growing madly.
A lot of the paths we usually walk on are completely covered up with long grass and thistles and nettles. We had to forage our way through. Bailey could have done with a machete cos it was really thick at doggy level. I was worried my ankles were going to get stung or scratched but I made it through in one piece.
The weather was so mild with not a breath of wind and I had Andy Murray's tennis match going on in my headphones on the BBC radio iplayer app on my phone and because it is digital the sound is so clear. I could have stayed up there for hours nestled in the wispy grass but Bailey was struggling in the heat and needed a drink and I had neglected to bring a bottle of water with me so we had to head down again after a hour and a half or so.
I was driving round the top road when I spotted this chap/chappess by the loch and knew I had to get a good picture for my blip. As I clicked the button I didn't realised a seagull had snuck in the backgrouund and some sort of raven or crow in at the left so along with the ducks on the right it was a quadruple whammy of bird life in one 'foul swoop'.
