St Peter Church, Queenstown
And so this is Queenstown. I'm wishing we'd reserved at the Novotel, regardless of the cost. What we have instead is a regular room in a backpackers hotel. We would be the only clients over 23. The room does not come with parking and the nearest parking station charges by the half hour with no daily rates. We ended up parking in a suburban street 15 minutes walk away and we were lucky to get that. Just as well we like walking.
The area itself is pleasant enough with Lake Wakatipu surrounded by mountains nearby. And we had a good dinner in a Korean restaurant. And Tommy Hilfiger was having a sale and I got two nice tee-shirts.
Now we're back in the hotel and with doors shut tight and thick curtains drawn we can still hear the loud insufferable music from the street below. We've booked a wine tour for tomorrow so I hope that will be fun.
A large load of stones would have been required to build this church. M is exerting a load on its steps.
Thanks for hosting AndrewNZ.
PS: Am attempting to catch up with a few of you but internet speed is so poor that I'd be here all night. So called music is still on so I might yet!
