The promise of Spring

A cold start gave way to another bright sunny day, so in the afternoon we had to get out to make the most of it and get our daily exercise, hiking at Rowe Woods. It was quite a popular place to be, but once we got out on one of the longer trails, we didn’t see many other people. However, before getting out on this trail, we first checked out the area near Krippendorf Lodge, which has a good display of snow drops and winter aconites, as well as hellebores, and a few crocus were just coming into flower. It was a lovely walk in the sunshine.
