Blossoms
Last night we did well at the inter camera club competition. There were five clubs participating, and each club had to submit ten images. The standard of photography was high and the judge had a hard time scoring, but our club won by a large margin which was a very good result. Interestingly there were some nature images entered that had been converted to mono, and the judge, like other judges before him, queried why this was done. He said that mono should only be used if it improves on the original colour image, and with nature it seldom does. I do agree with that.
A day of some chores at home, I did the ironing, and made soup. The sun came out in the afternoon and I walked Xena again in the woods, where I photographed the blossom, which were waving about madly in the wind.
Tomorrow is a much busier day including going to London in the early evening as I have theatre tickets.
Gavin is getting a quote to get solar panels fitted on the roof of our house, at the back and side where you won't see them - the roof is too high to see them unless you fly over the house! Our energy bills are so high we need to think about alternative energy sources.
