Boats and reflections

Of course this morning we wandered down to the harbour and bought fish - Megrim, or Cornish Sole as it has been rebranded. It is apparently gaining in popularity as it is sustainable and an alternative to Lemon Sole. Mainly caught on the Cornish coast, most Megrims landed in Newlyn are bought by the Spanish, although I know at least one Blipper who comes to Newlyn to buy it! We love it.

This is a view of Newlyn harbour from just by the Fish Market and the fishmongers, of which there are several.

Extra
I wondered whether New Zealanders might be interested in a photo our daughter sent us. They had driven with their friends to the Coromandel and are currently staying in Pauanui. Joanne and her friend ran to the top of Mount Pauanui (she is in training for the London Marathon!)  and this is the view from the summit.
