Before Midnight

Audrey's 'sweet respite' from teething (thanks for that very apt phrasing NancyDrew) continued today. It makes life so much easier.

Had a lovely morning with her, followed by a picnic on the lawns at Spinningfields. The sun was shining and the place was full of Black Trousers (city types) on their lunchbreak. Audrey loved the people watching as she munched on her feast of pizza and chicken.

Angus joined us after his meeting and we did a swap. He gave me a couple of hours in town to myself. I honestly didn't know what to do with myself though and just wandered around aimlessly half missing Audrey and the pram (which kind of defeated the point!) Am in such a strange place in my head right now. A little bored being at home all the time but not ready to fully embrace life (and work) without Audrey every day.

My sister is babysitting tonight for the first time. We are both so grateful as it has been getting very expensive of late paying for babysitters non-stop. Kind of ruins your night out too knowing that after the meal, drinks and taxi you'll be dropping another forty quid for someone to sit in your house effectively.

At the cinema to see Before Midnight (the third in a trilogy of films that I love). Excited and as the lights are going down, I had better go...
