I can hear clearly now

I should say hear loudly. Everything is so loud!, crumpling paper is ear splitting, and I actually have a clock in the sitting room that ticks, who knew?! Although I only have mild tinnitus, I noticed that more too. I’m glad I can hear so much better but it was a relief to take them out tonight!

Another positive today is that following a comment from a friend, I took myself to Halfords on the way home. When the lamp warning light came on in the car, I didn’t know what to do, B always sorted that kind of thing. But for the grand sum of £9, Halfords will fit a new one! I was almost overwhelmed with relief. I can feed myself, clean up, sort finances, change a light bulb in the house, but it’s those silly inconsequential things that we do for each other without thinking that can leave one flummoxed, when your other ‘half’ is no longer there.
