Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By NannaK

The PNW, View from my Bench #19

Typical looking PNW day.   Had a visit with Maple (and her people,) and then took a walk in the UW Urban Horticultural Center for a change of scenery.  This is looking to the east (I’ll label it View from my Bench #19) to see 520, the floating bridge on Lake Washington.  Lots of ducks but I didn’t have my longer lens. (too heavy to walk with)   Think these might be American Widgeons.   You can see a mud island out there (something for rowing shells to look out for!) in the middle but all the rest are ducks.
And... it was a bit boring so I couldn't resist the bear with the salmon...the salmon would be here but the bear is from an Alaska trip ......

Extras…Added a pensive Maple as we were leaving,  and then this new Aegis building , a decent shot from the car...that we’ve watched being built and is finally finished nearby where we walked….looks European doesn’t it?   for assisted living and memory care.   Do not want to move there.   AND, the artwork H brought home from the cabin.. An etching by Yngve Soderberg for Peter and a KarenBerry acrylic for Fi of Charles Island.  Everyone has their choices named.    Lots to look at.
