Storm clouds out to sea
To Brighton today for lunch with eldest daughter, Paula, whose birthday it was earlier this month and both her sisters came as well - so, a really nice family get-together. It had been raining heavily earlier in the day but the skies had cleared in the afternoon, although they still looked threatening when we went for a walk along the prom after lunch. The extra photo is of an inset into the wall that runs down from the upper road facing the beach. It looks like a space that might be used by rough sleepers, which brought home the bleakness of seaside towns - even "hip" cities like Brighton - in winter.
