After the floods …

The meadows around the village have reached total saturation. Following a second sighting of the brimstone butterfly we were delighted to discover that this pond was full of frogspawn on our walk this morning. Hopefully some of the tadpoles will survive to become frogs!
I had a very early voluntary shift. I had to drive through deep unexpected flood water on the unlit main road to get there.
