Exposed

We generally avoid the beach on weekend afternoons, but this was the first chance we’ve had for weeks and weeks. However, we were not the only people to have this idea - the car park was absolutely packed!

Avoided the majority of the crowd by heading in the opposite direction. Arrived at a beach about half way between our car and the next car park along the coast. You have to walk to get here, and that means it’s usually pretty quiet.

Storm Ciaran tore through this coastline and stripped the beaches of sand. I reckon this beach is about a whole metre lower than it used to be. And that has exposed some really interesting rock formations, including this line of rock curving like the spine of some giant dragon.
