River Dee at Kirkcudbright
Today's the day ......................... to lose it
I've been without the car since Will went off on his travels. This is not a problem because I can survive very happily without going far from the house but it does rather restrict my interaction with the world at large.
Today, however, I fancied a trip into Kirkcudbright - and so I took the (free) bus that passes nearby, into town. It was very pleasant to wander about, not in the rain - and to chat with a few people that I knew. I ambled along the banks of the River Dee for a while where everything was very peaceful and because the tide was low, the boats were hauled up out of the water. Then I cut inland and walked home along the road.
The notice (see extra) on the door of the Tourist Information, which is shut until April, made me smile - and in some strange way, it seemed to sum up my intentions .........................!?
