A dry day was promised. Part way through the morning I decided to deviate from the current routine of early lunch then a walk and go for a picnic instead. Nothing exciting . . . I made some chicken sandwiches, packed a piece of chocolate brownie and filled a bottle with water.

Onwards to Grasmere with the emphasis on walking rather than photos. Had my lunch by the lake shore in the sunshine just past the boathouse on the shore of Grasmere.

Came home the easy way again . . . on the bus.
