Smile for the Camera

Another spring day when the temperature outside was higher than the one inside and the world and his wife were out in the Meadows making the most of the sunshine.

Son#2 and Luca came visiting and after they left, Wendy, one of the Stromness Selkies arrived to stay for a few nights, bringing with her a big bunch of tulips, a packet of chocolate digestive biscuits (a present from another Orkney Selkie), her daughter and baby granddaughter. It’s been quite a social gathering.
I hadn’t seen the baby since she was days old in September and now she’s 6 months and quite a little character.

Now that the extra visitors have left, Wendy and I are tripping the light fantastic to the nearby Malaysian restaurant for our dinner- I am certainly not the hostess with the mostest.
