Catkins galore
It poured with rain all night and we had several heavy deluges during the morning. This afternoon it’s all sunshine and fluffy clouds.
In spite of the rain JJ washed his car and cleaned it inside, ready to take it to the garage tomorrow for a quote in part-exchange for a new smaller version before they all change over to electric. We’re sticking with petrol for now.
I have done some more sewing, reading and squelched over the back to photograph the Alder catkins, which are magnificent this year, and early. The apple trees are sitting in water again and one of the local residents has posted a video on our WhatsApp group of the brook in full spate. It’s very noisy, but I suppose I could turn the volume down.
