Recovering
We had a slow start to the day…T had once again had a disturbed night as he wakes up not being able to breathe well. I went out to get rolls and bacon and more medications and we enjoyed breakfast watching landscape artist of the year on catch up.
Eventually headed down to town to exchange the neck chain I’d bought him for his birthday for a slightly longer one, and to have a wander around some other shops looking at air fryers and shirts and other random stuff (we didn’t buy anything). Also took him up to the top of the golden poo hotel to look at the views over the city…
Walked home again and he had scotch pies and beans for lunch and I had soup. We then decided to watch the film Mrs Brown as I’d been telling him about Queen Victoria and John Brown whilst we were at Balmoral and we thought it would be good to find out the background a bit more and see if they showed the pyramid we’d climbed up to (they didn’t!). Of course within about half an hour he was fast asleep….and he slept about 2 hours which he probably needed. A and Paisley had arrived by then, and she was definitely put off by the smell of the Olbas Oil that surrounded him! Took her a while to settle down and let him stroke her!
We had some tea and chat then went down to the street food market to have the short ribs they’d seen on social media (very tasty!) and some more delicious than we expected ice cream sundaes, then to the cinema to see Iron Claw, a film about a wrestling family from the 70s and 80s in the States (it was the only thing on that I thought would fit for us all!). It was a bit slow but we all enjoyed it enough…especially with the reclining seats!
Walked back home then pretty much straight to bed after T and A had taken Paisley down to the garden for a last wee.
