Welcome back
We've got an event in late July that needs the John Pavey road bike, so I got it out this afternoon, wiped off the dust blew up the tyres and gave the STi shifters a squirt of WD40.
I don't remember it being such a long reach to the bars when I last rode it.
After a few miles it all started to work, the Conti GP's started to sing, the hum off the aero spokes and that peerless Ultegra shifting all came back. At 10 miles we were back in tune with the speed in the low 20's on the flat.
At 12 miles the legs and lungs started to give up!
At 15 miles I was glad I was nearly home.
Still it was nice to give it a spin.
Closer inspection revealed hundreds of cracks in the tread on the back tyre so perhaps it was just as well that I only inflated it to 125 psi.
