Our mini bar

That picture gives a hint of where we ended up for our week away after a night at Heathrow and an evening flight of under 3 hours. (We had to come down yesterday as there were no trains going in to Kings Cross today due to rail works).

Several flights must have arrived at the same time as the immigration queues were long and took over an hour. We are with Jules Verne in a group of around 20. Too many I think to hear the guide but we’ll see.

The “wonderful 5 star hotel” might have been that 40 years ago but not now. Lumpy bed and even lumpier pillow and thin towels. The entrance was bigger than several houses. Fur coat and nae nickers. But hey it was all very cheap.
