Murk

A horrible damp grey day in the murk.I think it's getting to me now as I've not had a jot of energy and have wafted rather aimlessly around today. I'm taking it easy for tomorrow I'm off to Limerick on a speed well hunt! I'm giving a talk in the city next month and need a few more wells under my belt, so I'm in pursuit tomorrow, returning on Monday. Himself is remaining at home - the downstairs loo nearly finished.
En route I have ben invited to drop in to Tullylease in North Cork, where it is Well Day, in honour of St Berrihert - an Anglo-Saxon who left in a huff after the Synod of Whitby and wanted to carry on in the Celtic tradition of doing stuff rather than the Roman (different dates for Easter, different styled tonsures!) St Berrihert arrived in Tullylease only to find a resident druid who was not thrilled to see him. There was a challenge. A shed was built and the two men placed within, then it was set alight - should anyone emerge they would have the hearts and mind of Tullylease. Needless to say St Berrihert was triumphant - not a spot reddened upon him!  I am not making this up. Catch you later.
