Vel Primus Vel Cum Primis

After Tom's graduation, just time to wander round my old college before going off to dinner. Tom is now the fourth generation (mother, father, great grandfather, great great-grandfather) to have gone to Durham University and we've all managed to attend different colleges. I passed under this archway with its "Vel Primus Vel Cum Primis" college motto for many years.
