Haze

The air here today is full of smoke.  At harvest time the sugar cane fields are set alight and burned.  The fire gets rid of the long, slender leaves of the plant without doing any real harm to the stalk.  It also eliminates any bugs that had taken up residence. 
    It smells sweet... like burning hay or grass.
