Kronberg Country House Hotel

…was originally Empress Victoria’s widow seat, built after Emperor Friedrich’s early death in 1888. Beautifully situated in the Taunus hills near Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany. Transmitted as an inheritance to the Hessian Landgravian family, it is now a luxury hotel conducted by Landgrave Donatus. We participated in a British style afternoon tea, with sandwiches, a wide variety of teas, petites fours, cake, and a Scotch whisky. Followed by a tour of the house with historical remarks.
