More sewing

Still a 'work in progress' but I will get better, although I didn't manage much sewing today and it was mostly cooking and preparation for friends coming for dinner.  We have not hosted for ages and it was a bit overdue but 8 in the kitchen was a bit of a squash.  I much prefer an easy 'kitchen supper' rather than posh dinner party.  Who has those any more?  I made coq au vin with lots of vin, and an easy crumble for pudding with apples from the freezer.  Plenty of wine was drunk and chat was fun and they didn't go until gone 11.00 (after a 6.00pm start).  Good fun and I only broke one glass clearing up.

Always a sense of relief when we have had our turn but might do it again in the summer when we can sit outside?
