Toots in Solitude

High Street

Off I set this morning with all my documentation.
First stop, the Council Offices. First class attendance, really most helpful and pleasant and a bonus on top where the lady spotted something which may advantage Donald, not sure but she's giving it a go. Wonderful.
Next stop, the Job Centre. I didn't have any high expectations here with memories not so complimentary. BUT, a smiling and very friendly welcome at the door, helpful to a 5 star degree and whilst I was seated I observed and noted the ambiance. So very changed. People being greeted with 'How are you?', first names in use in familiarity, leaving parties being told, 'good luck, hope it goes well' and laughter, such friendliness. I came away with a bonus here too, as I was offered three additional authorised copies of my forms if I'd care to wait 3 or 4 minutes, I hadn't asked or even known they could do that.
Changed days.
Donald was a in a rather confused and tired state again today but he's going to make sure of an early night and a lie-in in the morning.
