Mallard #27

A dry-ish morning descended into a very wet afternoon, so just as well we went out early on. Another visit to Phoenix Park to try and find the weed dance of the Great Crested Grebes. Again, they were a no-show - maybe we need to try somewhere else? 
Anyway, there were plenty of other waterfowl around, lots of them preening and having a bath like this female mallard. I guess they are all vying for partners at this time of the year :)
