Cornered! Nature! Incredible! (Creepy!)

This is a LIVE mother Mourning Dove and her two young ones, stiff as boards, playing dead.  When they are caught cornered by their prey, like me, that's what they do.  

I didn't know that when I first saw them.  Actually, I didn't know what to think.  They looked dead to me.  Don't they to you?  

I felt bad for taking a picture of three dead doves. But five minutes later when I looked, they had flown the nest!


It was kind of creepy.
