We flew!
We woke up throughout the night to hear crazy rain and thunder, it didn't look good for our flight... Eventually we braved the great outdoors (after emily discovered she'd been ravaged by bed bugs or something similar), and had breakfast at an amazing french bakery. There was a tiny flash of blue sky, and we almost ran to the airline's office to see if there was any space on the earlier flight! Luckily there were 3 places lefts, so we splashed out on the 3 pound fee and switched. That flight, of course, was delayed, but at least we actually took off!
We were led onto the runway, as the plane couldn't drive over the soggy grass to the airport. We were just standing there, milling about with people for the other airlines flight, when the plane landed, deafening us all!
We eventually took off and flew back to La Paz, where we were treated to an Arial view of the city. We did loops over and over La Paz before finally being in the right position for the bumpy landing.
Relieved is an understatement when we arrived back - I didn't think the rain and mist would ever lift!
