A Distant Curlew
We were nearly at the bottom of the M5 before we realised the date. "Happy Valentine" I said to Janet, as we passed Exeter. "Uh-huh", she replied. And they say romance is dead...
Anyhow, it was predictably overcast as we walked along the Camel Trail from Wadebridge towards Porlock Padstow (d'oh) with Bob and Sheila, then back with a bit more enthusiasm, realising we had dinner guests to prepare for, back at the farmhouse.
I should have taken the Hubble with me, because the bird life along the River Camel was rather splendid. I didn't, though, so this curlew is rather heavily cropped...
