Old Edinburgh
A long day in Edinburgh with Glasgow Ramblers walking the first half of the Water of Leith. Long because folk seemed keen to linger for far longer than I had expected at the various points of interest along the way. The Colinton Tunnel with its links to Robert Louis Stevenson was a first for everyone, and with several keen photographers I think we took almost 20 minutes to walk 200 metres. All good though.
Most of the group were keen to join me in an extension along the Union Canal into the city centre where we stopped for coffee and cake at the Grand Café. A free copy of the Scotsman somewhat offset the price.
Finally arrived back in Glasgow just after 7. Home shortly after that, cheesecake made for tomorrow, and now I need to eat, and read the Scotsman.
The blip is colourful Victoria Street near the Grassmarket.
