amusing
My day started as one thing and ended as something completely different. Not in a good way at all.
Had a shopping trip of randomness since we'd gone to the Carvery for breakfast. Cumbernauld has a B&M shop which does the most excellent bottled water.... the fact that it's cheap is a bonus :-D
Somehow managed to spend a whack of money on things I've not bought for a while. Like towels for the bathroom. Some of mine are mank and will be going out forthwith. Also bought and then constructed, without killing anyone, a garden bench. I love it. It was going to be my blip until..... I decided to plant some carrot seeds. Here's where my day went pear shaped.
I stood on a rusty bit of the metal fence between my garden and next door's. Ouch is not quite the word. But I did what I did when I was 4 and caught my finger in a deckchair, I stayed calm and tapped the window to get someone's attention to help me.
Then next while was wash it out, text pal for advice, phone NHS (chocolate teapot is the expression that comes to mind) trip to Stobhill minor injuries, they were shut, into the Royal where we sat from 9:15 till 2:00 when I asked would I just be as well going to my GP in the morning. (From then on everyone apologised all the time. I concluded they'd forgotten about me somehow.)
Injury washed, examined, xrayed, declared free from rust, dressed then tetanus was administered and I was let out.
Decided not to take a pic of the waiting room. Huge and full of folk. After midnight, most of the newcomers were stotious. (There's a word I don't think I've ever written down before!)
Anyway you'll get a garden seat blip soon. :-D Meantime, this made me laugh.
