Kerb appeal?

We were unfamiliar with the term "kerb appeal" until our new neighbours referred to it in their plans when they bought the house next door a few years ago.  This "installation" at the side of the road opposite our house is a collection of litter and car debris that my wife, daughter and Aussie Emma, picked up on Saturday from the verges of our road, taking advantage of its current closure for repairs. Perhaps it has artistic kerb appeal. The plan is for the dustmen to take it when they come round as usual on Wednesday. It's a black bag week, so that should be OK.
