Win some, loose some
We both took the boys on the school run today. The eldest was most upset as he woke up to hear the husband and I discussing whether the youngest should go to school, and if so, should we get him at lunch time. Youngest still not totally well, arguably shouldn't have gone in. But, the school run... took 45 minutes, should take 20, 25 max. We're already having to tp do a diverted route because of a year long maintenance project on a road, first set of country lanes was impassable and had to do what felt like a 20 point turn away from flooding, next route was passable, but many cars were turning around.
I had to go to London at lunch time, managed to get an earlier train than planned, with a run from the car park and straight onto the waiting train. Not so lucky on the way home - the picture is the 1718 pulling out of the station. Bit sad, thankfully it was less than 10 minutes until the next one.
And the youngest, home early from school (eldest ar back as well, as school was nearly finiahed) and took himself straight to bed for a 2 hour sleep. Then fast asleep at lights out this evening. I might have to work out how to get a doctors appointment tomorrow and try to get someone to see him, if he isn't any better.
