'Le Whisky' (homage to Degas)

A @TheWhiskyShop tasting of some very fine malt* whiskies, accompanied by an enjoyable commentary with lots of historical colour including Queen Victoria, Al Capone and Frank Sinatra, to mention only a few. Very privileged to taste the limited edition Glenlivet Quercus, which retails at £200 a bottle, though my favourite on the night was probably the Aberlour, with lots of lovely rich sherry.

The title is partly because elements of this picture reminded me of Degas, though the 'frame edge' effect was mostly down to the venue being a bit cramped for space, and partly because these are all Franco-Scottish whiskies, in that they're all owned by Pernod-Ricard. The Auld Alliance continues in liquid form.

*apart from the Chivas Regal, which is a blend which incorporates most of the production of both Strathisla and Longmorn.
