Grey Heron
There were about 9 heron over on the slope today (I counted 8 and spotted one waiting at the water's edge). The little female was not amongst them and I fear she has moved on. I have been wrong before so we will wait and see. The two young juveniles were there. They are like Jekyll and Hyde in that one chases everything and the other runs away from everything.. The shot today is of 2 adults and an older juvenile nearing adulthood (the one at the rear). The one in the middle may possibly be the original "young one" . The one at the front is more like a male. Unfortunately I will never be sure. Who knows though?
Crows all got biscuits but the coot wasn't around!
