Sun and stars...

This is the interior ceiling of the old Royal Bank of Scotland head office in St. Andrew Square, Edinburgh. A quite incredible interior, breathtaking in it's beauty and ambition, and beautifully maintained. And despite it being a working Bank hall the staff were absolutely fine about me standing in the middle of the floor taking photographs for at least ten minutes.

I would have uploaded this last night but my preparation work was rudely interrupted by a power outage which lasted the best part of two and half hours. It flickered on once, but only tantalisingly for about a minute before cutting out again. So we eventually gave up, blew the candles out and went to bed at 11.15. So finished on Tuesday and posted. Now there's another one to look forward to - two in one evening, what a treat!
