A Happy Ending to a Red Hot Day!
Day six in Tenerife and oh my its a scorcher today.
I was so hot and sweaty sitting at the pool so Hayley, Euan and I decided to go for a wee walk down into a valley between the hotel and the wee village just down from the sea front. I took some good shots of some scuba divers, a luxury yacht cruising by and some rugged coastline scenes.
After our day at the pool, we had booked a mexican meal in the other part of the hotel and I had a T-Bone steak which was falling off the edge of my plate. Lets say, I just managed to finish it.
When we got back to our usual spot for a wee drink in the courtyard, this spanish lady came up to us looking very excited and in very broken english explained that she had been at the side of the pool and watched Euan diving in to play water polo and had seen his phone flying out his pocket into the water.
Her daughter then went into retrieve it but they couldn't find us again until now so we have arranged to meet after breakfast tomorrow for the phone handover.
Euan was ecstatic even though it will probably be goosed but at last he will get his sim card out of it.
The blip today is the view from the balcony of the sister hotel looking down at our hotel when we walked down after our meal as the sun was going down. Oh what a day, nice to see Euan with a smile on his face again. He can't wait for tomorrow now.
