By way of explanation

No proper photography today. Went up to an orienteering event in woods to the NE of Dereham, an hour's drive each way. Pleasant woods, squelchy mud underfoot on the tracks, drier but with the remains of bracken off-track. Went fine until control 12, which was in a strange area of tracks & hollows, all brown squiggly lines on the map. Despite circling around, re-positioning myself & trying again, I never did find it. Too much detail in a very short space. Gave up & took the best track back. Haven't orienteered for several weeks & it shows!
