Jazz

A few weeks ago when I was working at the theatre I med a guy and his wife in the audience who wanted to know details about the theatre. We got talking for a while and learned that both of us were musicians, he is a jazz musician, sax-player and composer, which I am not but that doesn't stop us from sharing experiences. His name is Jan Ottosson and mentioned that he has a concert at Kalmar Castle coming up with his quartet and a singer. The theme of the concert was nursery songs, mostly by a Swedish 19-century composer, Alice Tegnér who wrote songs that we still sings today with the little ones. One, that she only wrote the lyrics for, was "Ba, ba, blacksheep", first printed in England 1744 but originally a french song from 1721, she called it "Ba, ba white lamb". The concert was brilliant, I'm glad I met him.
