Water Wings

A coot in "Fully Grumpy" mode as it chases off another bird, presumably a rival in terms of mates or territory. The splashes to the left are evidence of the other bird's flight! This excitement was taking place at Wingerworth Lido, a pool formerly used for swimming and relaxing but now the preserve of wildlife and anglers.
