I made two new friends this afternoon

They were sitting opposite to me on the vaporetto back from Burano.  I’d been to visit Ann’s favourite church and Byzantine mosaic on Torcello.  I added to my sketch of the wall art but it wasn’t easy because they’ve removed the pews (which is how the church would have been originally).  We were asked not to move the strategically sited chairs.  If I try and do this again I might need to send them an email.  The sketching has provided me with a peaceful way to sit and be with the artwork..  in the end I got cold.
