The Fallowfield Loop...

I stumbled across something new today. New at least for me and something that I'm amazed I never knew existed. The Fallowfield Loop is an off-road cycle path that stretches from Chorlton-cum-Hardy through Fallowfield and Levenshulme to Gorton and Fairfield. The path follows the route of an old railway line that was converted to a cycle path in the late 1990s. The fact that I don't ride a bike is undoubtedly why I've been unaware of this pleasant stretch of urban greenway until now. This stretch passes under the Styal to Manchester railway line and the train passing overhead is on its way to Manchester Airport. Walking shoes on at some point I think to cover the eight mile stretch in full.
