Splash of white

I've no idea what this is, think it may be what my grandad used to call Mother-die but am not really certain.

I spotted it growing in a very overgrown corner of the garden of the residential home next to my office. It was a lovely splash of colour (is white a colour, does it count?) amongst the greenery and very very pretty in the sunlight. xx
