Just Grand!

After a splendid breakfast of breads, cheeses, meats and patisseries washed down with fresh OJ and strong coffee, we headed out into the gardens of the chateau to take some blips. This one is the one I picked to share with you all. Our room was still big although it was the smallest. The ceiling in the bathroom datedback to Henry IV when he met with his mistress at the chateau, their initials appeared on the ceiling!

After a lazy start we headed north to the coast and arrived at our hotel in Ouistreham. We took a wander in the town and along Sword Beach part of the coastline where the D-Day landings took place. Gallettes and cidre were enjoyed for dinner.
