Overnight Oats

Hubs and I dropped Jax off this morning at day care and drove to Philadelphia for my friend’s dad’s funeral. Knowing I wouldn’t be taking any photos today, I snapped a quick shot of the “overnight oats” I made last night (our breakfast before we hit the road). Topped with cooked apples and spices, and very tasty.

The funeral service was lovely and the weather was perfect to pay our final respects at graveside. Peg and her sister hosted a reception afterwards where they both spoke about their father - such wonderful and poignant memories. I’m so glad we were able to be there.

Headed home now where we will have a quiet evening.
