So I finally managed to get out in the garden and move some of the plant pots around to get an idea of how the raised beds will enclose the new seating area.

 
The raised beds will be slightly fake in that I intend to use large square pots so that I can change the plants easily if necessary – the raised beds in the front garden are a nightmare if a plant dies with all the intertwined roots.
 
4 pots one way and 3 pots the other seems to leave a decent entrance.
 
Now all I need is for Chris to come back and build them.
