A Birding Day …

… damp and cold. This one is a pool attracting several grey herons, new territory for them, away from the two other heronries in our area. Earlier I saw 4 pairs of Dippers in the Gryonne river (one in extra singing his heart out). As our house is taken over by rugby tonight I went out to observe the Eagle Owls but did not see any of the activity or those wonderful eyes that I saw a week ago! I was so lucky then. Now I am trying to get warm.
