Raindrops and birdsong
I made a couple of lemon cakes and a batch of Nutty Joys this morning, which was the cue for Smithers to do his Mole impression a few times … "Will there be cake?" (He’s very dependable in that regard.)
We are both feeling slightly below par at the moment, but we did manage a walk this afternoon. It was a grey and cloudy day but, before we’d gone very far, it turned into quite a drizzly day, which this puddle on the Green illustrates nicely. It was the only shot I took.
According to my Merlin app, we were wonderfully serenaded on the walk by robins and blackbirds in several places but they were nowhere to be seen. Their song, though, was just delightful and more than compensated for the dampness in the air.
