Camera history

The Asahi Pentax SV was released in 1962, it dates from a time when Pentax were setting the scene for SLR design. Using this camera, how to describe this, everything feels just right. The viewfinder is big and bright with a focusing microprism - works reasonably well at fast apertures - there's nothing else in there to distract you, and certainly no exposure meter.

The Tamron 95-205 f6.3 was released in 1961. It wasn't the first zoom lens, however Tamron tell us that it's the first mass produced zoom lens to hit the market.  It sure isn't fast, but the gorgeous esthetic probably makes up for that don't you think?
